We have a fantastic opportunity, at a very exciting time, for a Rental Assistant to join our business and learn to take true ownership of our day-to-day performance and Rental department protocols.

RENTAL ASSISTANT
ROLE, RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS

Reporting to the Rental Manager, you will be assisting in the operation of the rental department, providing the ultimate customer experience.

This department is a key part of our wider Commercial market offering, so this is an important role. You will be helping the Rental Manager and Rental Executive with the management of over 150 rental vehicles (which is due to increase to 200 in the near future) ranging from Luton vans through to company cars. You will be dealing with both businesses and individuals, from short-term 1 day hires to long-term annual contracts.

You will be assisting with the day-to day operation of the department, which includes:

  • Checking vehicles in and out of hire
  • Organising and preparing vehicles
  • Organising our vehicle storage facilities
  • Ensuring vehicles are cleaned and presented to the customer to the highest standard
  • Performing daily safety checks
  • Managing the timely and accurate administration that is required on a day-to-day basis

In time, with the training we will provide, you will be able to develop further within the department to progress your career with us.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm, with every other Saturday 8am-11am in addition.

The ideal candidate for us will:

  • Have the desire to learn all about the rental industry, and become a key member of our team
  • Have experience in a customer service environment
  • Demonstrate good communication and administration skills
  • Be a motivated self-starter who uses initiative, with aspirations to develop further
  • Have held a full, clean UK driving licence for at least 2 years
  • Be willing to work outside to clean vehicles (If required to support our valet team from time to time)
