We are currently hiring a Fund Accounting Specialist (fixed term contract for 12 months) who will be based in our Taipei office.
Key responsibilities
1. Back office team
- Prepare daily mutual fund journal entries and reports
- Prepare and deliver daily NAV report, weekly and monthly reports
- Maintain and test the mutual fund accounting system i.e. Jepun
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external clients
- Review and provide recommendation on risk areas on a regular basis
- Review and formulate ideas/proposal for STP and automation
- Prepare pricing for fund holdings (equity/bond/FX/futures/options/FoF)
- Conduct initiatives study and impact analysis, prepare documentation and present to key stakeholders and sponsors
- Represent the team to participate in projects with Ops team for change implementation:
- Understand feature, scope and regulatory requirements of new security market, new instruments, new products or new solutions which is different from existing process with more complexity
- Coordinate and assess the overall adjusted operating model and drive implementation plan within the timeline with Ops team
- Support regional/global projects and tasks
- Organize service review meeting periodically to monitor the performance of service providers and conduct analysis for management reporting
- Coordinate the priority for system enhancement
- Initiate regulation changes, participate in discussions and follow up for changes which could streamline operational process or benefit from release restriction
2. Middle office team
- Handle settlement of global/local securities and other financial products trades for our fund/mandate’s investments (incl. Stock, Bond, FX, Future, RP, FOF…etc.)
- Monitor and handle global corporate actions
- Reconcile daily open trades/cash position reports from sub-custodian bank
- Reconcile holding reports between custodian bank and AGI Taiwan
- Process overseas account opening
- Handle and coordinate project implementation and resolve trouble case
Experience & knowledge & Skill
Required:
- Bachelor degree in business or equivalent
- Senior securities license, SITE & SICE License
- Proficient in English (both reading and writing)
- Proficient in Ms Office
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, positive and creative thinking, self motivated,
- Good team player, assertive, able to work under stress and have strong sense of responsibility
- Good problem solving skills, detailed-oriented, good learning agility and open-minded
Preferred:
- Fund accounting or settlement related experience
- Experience in the financial filed, such as global custodian bank, foreign brokerage house
- Familiar with multi-currency fund, multi-share fund, domestic/global equity fund, and global bond fund NAV valuation
- Familiar with financial instruments and market practice and have financial product knowledge, such as Bond, Equity, Future, FX, RP and corporate action events
- Experience in project management
- Familiar with VBA
