Responsibilities:
A Building Maintenance is responsible for facility and grounds upkeep of business offices. They possess a variety of skills such as ground keeping, carpentry, plumbing, and janitorial and electrical skills that contribute to their duties as maintenance technicians. Maintenance technicians are also responsible for resolving any hazards that may occur on the premises. These personnel can perform on variety of equipment units, perform building maintenance with basic ground keeping.
A. Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures
- Install machinery systems
- Perform electrical systems maintenance
- Install and maintain ventilation and refrigeration units
- Inspect alarm systems
- Maintain plumbing systems
- Quality check equipment regularly to ensure everything is in working order
- Create inspection and repair schedules
- Assist and guide 3rd party vendor in pest control duties (i.e. spray insecticide)
- Explain to employees on proper equipment usage
- Perform administrative computer tasks as needed
- Act as on-call handyman when needed.
Minimum requirement for hiring:
At least graduate of any vocational course related to maintenance.
Skills:
- Creative skills and detail oriented
- Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical and other systems required
- Knowledgeable in MS Word and Excel
